The New Kent County Parks and Recreation Department offers year-round organized recreational opportunities to individuals and families of all ages. Hiking, bird watching, and nature trails are available at Cumberland Marsh Natural Area Preserve, Wahrani Nature Trails, and the New Kent Forestry Center.

A Great Place to Cycle

New Kent is the first county in Virginia to have fully mapped and signed bicycle routes. These bike routes, range from 15- to 100-miles in length and start and end at the New Kent Visitors and Commerce Center on Vineyards Parkway at I-64 Exit 211.
