Public Safety

Fire & Rescue

New Kent County Fire & Rescue consists of six fire stations in the county. NKC regularly re-evaluates its public safety needs amidst county growth, with the newest fire station opening as recently as August of 2025. In addition to the handling of day-to-day emergencies and the typical fire-rescue function, NKC Fire-Rescue handles fire prevention, emergency management, community engagement, fire code inspections, and much more.
