water and sewer
The New Kent County Public Utilities Department services groundwater from various aquifers to its residents. Our county’s geographic location and features make us very fortunate in that we have relatively easy access to groundwater sources. A groundwater protection plan was put into place in 2019, furthering ensuring the quality of New Kent’s drinking water for many years to come. Finally, each interchange area has water storage capacity of approximately one million gallons and the County’s Parham Landing Wastewater Treatment facility can process 2- MGD.
