New Kent is strategically located directly between two of the nation’s most dynamic MSA’s: Richmond-Petersburg and Williamsburg-Hampton Roads. Richmond is 15 miles west; Williamsburg is 15 miles east; Norfolk is 60 miles southeast; Washington, DC is 100 miles north and Atlanta, New York and Boston are within 500 miles.

New Kent is within 750 miles of over 55% of the nation’s population and nearly 60% of its personal income and consumer expenditures. It is bisected by I-64 with four high-traffic count exits (approximately 65,000 vehicles per day) and its intersection with I-295 is just three miles to the west. To encourage commercial/industrial development, each of the I-64 interchanges is served by public water and sewer, with three of the four having natural gas.
